Absolutely! This organization needs to be asking more from people in every role and at every level. This is a contending team and if we want to be perennial contenders we need to be setting those expectations with everyone.

But, and I say this with full conviction,I wouldn't dream of supporting another baseball team. And in due time, this season will be remembered as another beautifully loved and flawed chapter of the Seattle Mariners. I still believe in this team. And forever and always it will be #goms🔱

With our farm system the window is still wide open to come back better next year. We have very few free agents. We have the deepest farm system in baseball. We are young and I have to believe that the guys will come back hungrier next year. I am just tired of waiting and I know you all are too.

Fourth, we need relief pitchers. It's hard to not play the what if game but imagine if ownership had ponied up for Johan Duran. While many of us were excited, and rightfully so coming off the trade deadline, it was hard to not feel like we were one piece short of where we needed to be.

Third, ownership needs to take a good long hard look at our coaching staff starting with Dan Wilson. Many of us were skeptical of a rookie coach leading a team with lofty postseason goals. And even though we made it further than ever. It feels like we often won in spite of Dan and not because of him

Second, we need to lengthen this lineup. Our 7-9 hitters were a black hole the majority of this postseason. Championship caliber teams don't do that. Just look across the field at the Blue Jays and what their lineup looked like. We need more people who can get on base. Not just hit solo homeruns.

How do they do that?

First is I think a unanimous decision. Sign Josh Naylor. We have no one down on the farm who is ready to take over first base. He has endeared himself to this city in less than a half a season and that needs to be rewarded.

I am scared that ownership is going to rest on another "successful" season. Lord knows how much they have leaned on the 1995 team and as much as I loved that team I don't want a repeat of that. I want ownership to mirror the 03 and 04 Red Sox. Learn from this, invest, and make the team better.

Where do we go from here?

I am honestly nervous about this offseason. Ownership has shown us too many times in the past that they will try and go the cheapest route possible. Will they do that again and waste another window of opportunity? It happened in the mid-late 90's, early 2000's, mid 2010's.

Our starting pitching took a step back as a rotation this year. Some of that was due to injuries. Some of it is that several times during this series, guys didn't perform when we needed them the most.

My Dad always says great players show up in great moments. Ours didn't do that. Theirs did.

About that 7th inning. Maybe we left Woo in too long. Maybe we pulled him too early I haven't been able to think clearly enough to evaluate which it was. But what was clear is through this season and post-season Dan Wilson was consistently outcoached. And he needs to own that.

This was mainly in response to some people talking about "how can you criticize Dan Wilson he led the Mariners to their best ever season" and gosh damn it no, and gosh damn it that's not an excuse for his decision-making.
