I don't think it has no place in arts future. Everyone learns from tracing after all but to sell a sentance a computer interprets into a picture is cheap and wrong.

I think that sculpting and understanding form in 3D has affected my 2D art greatly, but I still prefer the feel of sculpting and modeling.
