Made 汁なしうどん (soupless udon) for my wife! And she loved it! Normally she makes all the Japanese food in our home, but I wanted to give it a try.

Made chili dogs this morning with a homemade chili recipe! It’s been so fun learning how to cook and getting to taste home. There‘s so much American food you can’t get in Japan so I’m trying to learn to make it all from scratch. My wife loved them!

Only my third time making homemade spaghetti sauce and it’s slowly getting better. I have to cut out sodium bc I have terrible blood pressure which means more of my free time has to be dedicated to cooking, and I’m not exactly a chef. 😅 But hooray for small accomplishments!

This little demon figured out how to open my medicine drawer. I heard a bunch of noise yesterday and went running to investigate. He was sitting there digging everything out and dumping it on the floor.

I caught a picture of Nona mid scream. She has been singing the song of her people to my brother and niece their entire stay.

Cleaning house since my brother is coming. Nona is trying to help and by trying to help I mean crawling into my trash bag and trying to tear it up from the inside. But it’s the thought that counts.

And her big bro is such a cutie patootie cinnamon roll. I love how this series flips things on its head and MC is trying to protect her love interest, and she’s even got lil sis on her side.

As someone who absolutely hated Happy Place, I am pleasantly surprised by how much I am loving Funny Story. Emily Henry has beautiful and engaging prose with such fluidity it’s hard to put the book down. The banter between the characters is so witty and humorous I’ve gigglesnorted multiple times.

Every time a new package arrives, it’s like Christmas for the cats. A new box for them to sit in.

Back to reading a bit and I’m surprisingly enjoying this even though it took forever to get going. Definitely one of those you love it or hate it type books I think. And I’m still not sure where I land just yet.
