I noticed that people kept staring at me like I’m sort of alien while riding my roadie today and I’m convinced it’s because I’m wearing a long sleeve button up over my tank top and shorts instead of a jersey and bib. Reminder that bikes are also for transport!!! #yycbike

Fell off my bike. Ironically fell when I was going real slow. Front tire got caught in a small dip between a ramp and the road. Shin is swollen and bruised, hip and palm bruised, new scrape next to an old scar from my last fall.
Still a good ride though (finally a proper summer???) #yycbike

Went to MTL for the weekend and tried getting around by bike a little (Bixis are great). I love the amount of protected lanes they have. We neeeeed them here!
Also gonna try biking there more next time I go (hopefully when there isn’t a massive heatwave).

Accidentally completed my very first century ride (kept getting lost because I suck at geography + several confusing detour-that-aren’t -detour-signs). Used @bikebikeyyc.bsky.social RWGPS route! So helpful 🥹 #yycbike

In other news, Dan and I ran into Dan’s childhood friends’ parents near Chinatown.
If you see a pair of 60-something year olds near the river on some scooters today, please be patient with them! They’re only learning to use their new-to-them e-scooter today.

Me: (Passes Dan, goes ~5kmh faster)
Dan: What happened to saving energy????
(For the record, I ate enough pizza earlier to get up the dreaded hill no problem)
