There's no longer any upside to Twitter over Bluesky. Twitter's engagement is terrible, it downranks external links, and you're subjected to straight nazi shit if you write even the most banal post. Why are we subjecting ourselves to this?

I get the pushback to Bluesky in that it further bifurcates our media ecosystem. But at this point, Twitter’s content moderation is so nonexistent and its verified users so extreme that the choice becomes either move away from Twitter or be subjected to straight up 4chan nazi bile on a daily basis.

It took me twelve years (!) to build up my audience on Twitter. It took 5 days to surpass the 50% point of my Twitter following on Bluesky. I’m hopeful that the overall growth on this site will negate the need to go on Twitter altogether. Sad to see what it devolved into, but thrilled to see it die.

I often see ppl online who are fed up & have given up on dating cause they think you have to be some super successful person to score now
