Then he says they will release all they can legally release when requested and go ahead and request. Why is this not already the story? Why pretend we are about to see the files?

My first thought when he ordered a restart to the underage investigation was ‘this ties the files up because they are part of an ongoing’.

Will we be surprised when desperate starving people and the guardians of those who they cannot feed start to do whatever they have to do to survive?

This makes sense to me.
I’ll keep pushing this line of analysis because I’m increasingly convinced the clearest path out of this mess is for Dems to adopt a relentless anti-corruption, anti-inequality, anti-oligarchy, pro-democracy platform. The Dem leadership hasn’t realized it yet, but they’re now a reform party.

I’m giving $100 a week to my local food bank until the greedy WH funds SNAP again and starts paying fed workers, both of which they could do without any changes to whether illegal immigrants have health care.

There is a new Democratic party
It is time for the land of opportunity to return. MAGA exposed the rut that the Democratic party had fallen into. Change was inevitable…

Do we really need a larger unregulated militia to harass mostly productive members of our society who had the misfortune to be born elsewhere than we need rural hospitals and to avoid the desperation that comes from starving or watching your kids starve?

This cannot stand:

The provision in the proposed budget reconciliation bill states: “No court of the United States may use appropriated funds to enforce a contempt citation for failure to comply with an injunction or temporary restraining order …

That is insane.

New preprint! Most recent work on bioelectric control of morphogenesis focuses on spatial patterns of cell voltage (a "particle" approach). The amazing Harold Burr (link.springer.com/article/10.1...) emphasized the *field* aspect. Our 1st attempt on endogenous fields:

The version of this that most boils my noodle is when protections for the living biosphere without which we would all very much perish are "a win for environmentalists"
As ever, the loss of something good and useful for Americans is framed as a loss for Democrats — in the mass media, everything becomes just a political football to be kicked back and forth instead of examined for its impact on everyday citizens regardless of political party.

50 years after the women’s-lib movement, it appears that a women’s-unlib movement may have just compromised the save-the-climate movement and the truth-seekers (scientific inquiry) movement.

Christoph Adam’s says in “The evolution of biological information” that the interactions of information is the foundation of biology. It is a very demanding book that gets deep into statistics (I’m still trying to get through it), but this theme is showing up more and more these days.

@gmusser.bsky.social in”Putting ourselves back into the equation “ says that to understand biology we need to start with understanding the fundamentals of our physical universe. The fundamentals are looking to be more and more related to how information is processed as a function of time.
