I would like to dedicate this montage to that YouTube commenter who once called us “spoiled brats” for stressing the importance of bike lane snow clearing, because he used to bike through “centimetres of snow” in the Netherlands without any plows and he was fine.

I’ll say it again. What makes this platform different is that it’s moderated. And, The Terms of Service are enforced. Bluesky is not like Twitter

The world needs a platform where people who disagree can have a real discussion.
The problem is you assume they want to "engage and have reals discussions on real issues." They don't. When confronted with facts, data, science, actual laws, and the like, they resort to spewing lies, disinformation and hate.
Some don't want posts like this on @bsky.app. I want more. Why ?

This is a moderated platform. Which means unbridled hate is removed. And blocked.

Making this is a platform where we can engage and have real discussions on real issues.

@bsky.app w 100m users changes political discourse.

Used to think prepping was more of a conservative mindset, but now I’m making sure I’m good to go for the worst with Trump trying to destroy the entire economy as fast as possible.

It is truly incredible what you can check out from Colorado libraries – a bike! a guitar! seeds! backpacks! You can even use your library card for free museum and state park passes.
Seeds, tools, bikes: You can borrow more than books at Colorado public libraries
Check it out!

This month marks the 50th anniversary of the Safe Drinking Water Act, which was signed into law Dec. 16, 1974, by President Gerald Ford. Waterborne diseases plummeted, water monitoring increased and more funding was allocated to upgrade drinking water treatment.
Looking back on the Safe Drinking Water Act as it turns 50
The legislation, which was signed into law in December 1974 by President Gerald Ford, has touched everything from waterborne diseases to toxic ‘forever chemicals.'
