I mean, children and non-citizens get to watch too, so that's to be expected.

I have seen this too. There is room to discuss free-roam, procgen vs. tight narrative experience but people usually aren't asking about that. They will ask "which is more fun?" in a general sense or "can I mod the Clans out of Clans?"

They are definitely two different games and I usually recc both

I’m not sure there’s an idea in the world I believe in more strongly than YOU SHOULD DEFEND THE HUMANS IN YOUR COMMUNITY, which seems to echo what moral abscesses like PEG keep telling me, but their “community” is this abominable racial caste, and my community is just the people who I know around me

Laugh at them, mostly.

More like, "I'm getting real Boss Baby vibes from this movie."
- man who has only ever watched 'Boss Baby'

Yes, it is.

Yeah, I'm looking at this like... "Hazing???"

No, it isn't a bad take. It is a completely correct one. At some point, you have to develop emotional resilience to function as a adult. Without that skill, you're going to -- if not totally useless -- than a lot less useful as a person.

A good economy of force measure by the Germans because they got the full benefit of a minefield from like 1/100th the mines, if the Soviets "honored" them.

So the Soviets didn't. The times it worked, they took fewer losses (not a good idea to halt at the edge of a minefield)

Other times though...

* caveat here that the Soviets did have a doctrine of trying to blow through decoy minefields, the sort where they have a thin crust of real mines and then nothing behind them.

But it's crackhead behavior to take that account on its face. The Soviet Union was larger and somewhat more populous, but not so much they could throw human waves, marching through minefields into every attack. The closest you can find to that sort of stuff* was in the first six months.
January 19, 2026 at 6:07 AM
The Soviets mostly didn't though. The human waves were something the post-war Germans harped on, a lot, for two reasons:

1) To excuse their poor operational performance, especially late war.

2) To explain where all the people had gone, rather than the reality of massacre and starvation.

game was ass

there will be plenty more like it

Yes, very much agree here.

I have only uncommonly seen platforms actually treat them that seriously. Getting death threats on the internet used to be so banal that no one took any of them seriously.

Because Australians (non-Americans, generally) don't know the politics and post the dumbest takes about it as a result.

Earlier it was a candidate in *NORTH CAROLINA* talking up their belief in God, which non-Americans discussed it as if it were a mistake. Like, hello? North Carolina?
