If Republicans in the U.S. Senate pass the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” Oregonians currently enrolled in Medicaid are more likely than people in nearly any other state to lose coverage and end up uninsured, according to analyses from several national think tanks.
Medicaid cuts could impact Oregon more than most states, analysts say
The budget reconciliation bill reduces federal spending using a number of policies that will cut enrollment in Medicaid, including a work requirement for some and more frequent eligibility checks for all.

It was never about “efficiency.”
Think firing the entire federal workforce will save America money?

Federal civilian employees account for just 4% of the federal budget. Even if someone like Musk—or any president—fired all of us, it wouldn’t make much of a dent in government spending. Don’t fall for it.

Most #SNAP participants who can work already do, but Republican plans would take SNAP away from people who don’t meet expanded, harsh work requirements. Policymakers should support real job opportunities, not red tape that puts more people at risk of hunger. www.cbpp.org/blog/republi...
