Bombay HC orders the state govt to pay 1 lakh compensation for illegal arrest. It's high time Indian police officers had to face real consequences when they make a mockery of the law. I'm hoping this sets a precedent and we see more such judgements.

I feel quite heartened by this as it seems there will be genuine auditing of where the money is going, & if it isn’t being spent on women’s cricket then the counties will be in trouble.
