The American Academy of Pediatrics released its 2026 childhood and adolescent immunization schedule, endorsed by 12 leading medical and health organizations. It continues to recommend routine vaccination to protect against 18 infectious diseases.

The AAP is no longer endorsing the CDC schedule.

This article talks about a few of the antibiotics we discussed in class #PITT_ID25
"Consider TMP-SMX or nitrofurantoin per IDSA guidelines or a 2nd (eg, cefuroxime) or 3rd generation (eg, cefdinir or cefpodoxime) cephalosporins for empiric treatment of uUTIs. Cephalexin q6h or q8h is an appropriate and narrow choice of antibiotic IF culture and sensitivity data are available."
