Good: CDC’s outbreak publication (MMWR) is now up and running after the first pause in over 70 years

Bad: Todays publication is about fires, and not the missing bird flu or mpox studies we knew were up for publication. Of which have safety implications for veterinarians and people with house cats

🧵Scientific truth doesn't change with Senate confirmations. These facts remain absolute:

➡️Vaccines prevent millions of deaths
➡️Fluoride in water is a great public health achievement
➡️Raw milk threatens lives
➡️HIV causes AIDS
➡️Wi-Fi doesn’t cause cancer
➡️Anti-depressants don’t cause school shootings

RFK’s strong leaning toward the appeal to nature fallacy, to the point where he would rather campaign against Wi-fi than give an HIV patient medicine that will save their life, does not bode well for consistently diagnosing the root causes of America’s health problems.
