All of us will have to ask ourselves hard questions in the weeks and months to come.

What are our bright lines?

How do we retain our professional integrity?

How can we best leverage our expertise to rebut misinformation and coordinated efforts to dismantle American leadership in science?

Trump's military parade will cost $25-45 Million dollars, while federal funding for science is slashed, public servants are fired, and life-saving programs are ended, presumably to save money. Got it. I'll be saying what I think about that at @indivisible.org #NoKingsDay tomorrow. #StandUpForScience

Under Trump, research using terms like “Trans,” “LGBTQ,” & “Gender identity” is being defunded. These terms reflect real people who deserve science that includes them.

Stand with us to protect LGBTQ+ science from political erasure.

By attacking science:

We are less safe because science informs national security and medical care.

We are less prosperous because science drives innovation and economic benefit.

We are less free because science and democracy depend on the liberty to ask questions, and seek and share knowledge.

The National Institutes of Health is terminating 232 grants for scientific research at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, according to an email an administrator sent to faculty.
