PubMed, RePORTER, and NCBI all working for me as long as I am on the VPN. When I sign out of the VPN, I get the “Can’t open page” message that others are reporting.

Among many other things, this is a research ethics issue, doing something different with data than what was expressed to research participants when they agreed to participate.
It's also an affront to me as a BRFSS *participant* that they've taken those data down. I contributed my time and personal information, in part, because I had faith that it would be an open, public, uninterrupted resource for years to come.

The Trump administration is scrubbing the CDC’s website of documents on reproductive rights issues, sexual health, intimate partner violence, and more.

I'm trying to save them.

You can find the deleted docs at cdcguidelines.com - I'll be adding more over the weekend.

Couldn’t agree more! Exactly how I’m feeling today. We need to keep doing what we know is important work, despite the road blocks they may try to throw in our way.
One of the most important things you can do today is your science. Knowing calculus/physics/genetics/chemistry etc. makes you rare and the world will need you to rebuild tomorrow. Practice your skills and pass them on. Keep the flame alive.

Important statement from ASCO on the association between alcohol consumption and cancer risk, as well as the potential for adverse treatment outcomes. Article is a nice review of the current evidence, and provides public health policy recommendations.

Motto in our household this week is “just say no to faux nog”. The bird-flu related egg shortage is putting a damper on my holiday cheer!

100% concur. I eagerly read this article after seeing the press release and was so annoyed to find that these researchers made this HUGE leap in ascribing their findings to ultra-processed foods when they made NO attempts to actually measure or assess anything related to dietary intake.
Amazing to watch commentators and outlets attribute these findings to UPFs and seed oils when the study doesn't even look at this. The assumption that eating more linoleic acid -> higher tissue arachidonic acid enrichment has fueled so many handwavey hypotheses despite metabolic regulation
