The walls were just a plasma texture that changed the value of the base blue colour. So that there is a bit of a cloudy look to it.

Some other details in the scene use this kind of stuff for texturing. It works well enough to make some materials interesting. This stuff works in Blender nodes too

The floor boards were made by using an overlay layer and generating a checker-texture in GIMP and just extending + scaling them to a degree that looked good enough. The texture on its own would look flat so the overlay was copied and given a Gaussian blur in order to add highlights.

Continuing to work on this. I am not particularly experienced with using different brushes so most is pastel.

• Added textures to various plain surfaces
• Lighting and opacity effects on certain materials
• Shading passes over all room objects

Getting distracted by other stuff a lot. Art is difficult

• Added basic colours to everything
• Extra details added to room to fill blank space
• Some shading has been added to things in the room

Better shading pass is later when the room is filled

Updated from my previous post, more details were added.

• Light source angle adjusted to give more appealing shadows
• More object bases added to fill empty space
• Window cut out of wall
• devices + table adjusted

I'll probably continue posting in a patch notes format

Made rudimentary objects to eventually draw over.

Everything was done in blender. More details and objects will probably be made just to give more interest to the scene but the core of the idea is to have a digital drawing over everything so it's just going to be more shapes and shifting placement.
