You know you are dumber than a sack of hammers when the entire world accept that Ronald Reagan shows you are dumber than a sack of hammers.
RONALD REAGAN (1988): We should be aware of the demagogues who are ready to declare a trade war against our friends, weakening our economy, our national security, and the entire free world—all while cynically waving the American flag.

No they don’t. Canada and Mexico want none of this. They want the president of the United States to respect and abide by the trade treaty he negotiated with them - and not make up bogus pretexts for plunging us all into a gratuitous no win economic debacle.

As ever, the voice of reason. Please stay safe Alfie. You are in the minority down there.
An aha! moment for me: His "war against the idea of the public good," as one writer put it - against a pluralistic secular democracy, a community with a functioning government - is echoed by his contempt for international cooperation. The tariffs aren't about leverage, just dominance.

Well, now we know how Ukraine felt 10 years ago. The dictator on the border is spouting complete lies in justification of his intent to annex our country. Which part of Canada do you think plays Crimea in his vision of imperialism?

I checked in on another platform to check in the reaction to Senators fans booing the US national anthem. Predictably there was much tearing of hair with accompanying vitriol.

Perhaps they missed the fact that their President had just torn up negotiated agreements to declare economic war on us?

So while announcing the tariffs on Mexico, Canada and China, WH press secretary Karoline Leavitt claimed it was necessary to stop the distribution of fentanyl, which she said has "killed tens of millions of Americans."

The number of overall drug overdose deaths -- not just fentanyl -- was 101,000.

In case you were wondering why Chinese tariffs are 15% less than for Canada and Mexico, follow the money.

Elon Musk currently has a 4,500,000 sq. ft. car manufacturing plant in China. Tesla does not currently have car plants in Canada or Mexico. One is planned for Mexico. In time for a tariff lift.
