This is what Celine Song chooses to explore in Materialists. After the success of her debut, Past Lives, Song is back with another movie that makes you feel and think. I was eagerly awaiting this movie and after waiting ages for it to come out in the UK, I enjoyed Materialists and the message behind it.

This dark comedy combines humour with emotional depth that will make you laugh, cringe and even rethink friendship boundaries. The movie is about Craig (Robinson), a suburban husband and father who's struggling to connect with his wife and son, and has no friends.

Directed by Ryan Coogler Starring: Michael B. Jordon, Miles Caton, Jack O’Connell, Hailee Steinfield, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Delroy Lindo and Li Jun Li I wasn’t planning on watching Sinners, as it’s not usually the kind of film I’d go for, especially with the violence and gore. But after seeing a few recommendations and with all the rave it’s been getting, I gave in and decided to check it out.

Delving into the themes of society, politics and colonialism, Bong Joon Ho comes up with a thought provoking sci-fi movie. Based on a novel Mickey 7, the movie is about Mickey (Pattinson) who signs up to a space colony mission as an expendable.

This is an interesting show which hasn't been promoted much and therefore not many know about it. The show is based on a novel, which follows Willis Wu (Jimmy O. Yang), a waiter working at his uncle's restaurant in Chinatown, who feels unseen, unnoticed and overshadowed by his older brother who has disappeared and is missing. He feels like there is more to life and that he is like always in the background until he realises that he actually is a background character in a procedural drama show, Black and White.

This is a emotive and feel-good type of movie all about the first in vitro fertilisation (IVF) procedure, leading to the first IVF baby in the UK. Starring Bill Nighy, Thomasin McKenzie and James Norton as the pioneers behind the procedure, the movie looks at the challenges and opposition they faced from the church, media and medical community while trying to make a breakthrough in medicine and science.

As much as I dislike the topic of this movie, I had to do it for Sebastian Stan, who plays Donald Trump. The Apprentice is the origin story of Trump and how he rose to the top and become who he is now. Starting in the early 70s, we see Trump working under his father's business, socially inept and craving approval from others.

This is the basis of My Old Ass, starring Maisy Stella and Aubrey Plaza. Stella plays as Elliot, an 18 year old off to head out to college and the big wide world. After taking mushrooms with her friends while camping out, she encounters her future older self (Aubrey Plaza) and asks about her future.

Disney+ is back with another installment in the MCU and with a bang. A spin off from Wandavision, Agatha All Along is about Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) , who we see is still stuck in the curse left by Wanda at the start of the show. Imagining herself as a detective and powerless, Agatha is soon brought out of the curse with the introduction of Teen (Joe Locke) whose identity is unknown due to a sigil being placed on him, who is looking for the Witches Road, a mythic road where travellers achieve their greatest desire at the end.
