We continue to mourn Ibrahim Eid & Ahmad Abu Hila - two dedicated, inspiring colleagues, whose senseless killing further illustrates the intolerable civilian death toll in Gaza.

We hold them tightly in our hearts & think of their families, friends & phenomenal team.

"No state, no party to a conflict can be exempt from the obligation not to commit war crimes," - ICRC President, Mirjana Spoljaric.

There is no moral equivalence between bullies and the bullied, between tyranny and democracy, or between brutality and decency. No individual can be free in a society devoid of justice. There can be no liberty where brutality reigns.

People we spoke with in northern Gaza describe life after the destruction as a relentless cycle of uncertainty and loss.

We are intensifying our efforts to meet people's urgent needs, but much more remains to be done.
