Always an excellent read!
If Trump thought his election was a green light to engage in a massive, lawless, and brutal reign of terror—with a goal of “reimmigration” (a fascist term amounting to ethnic cleansing)—he misjudged the tenacity of lower federal courts and the decency of Americans open.substack.com/pub/contrari...

I’m as pissed as the next person about the Dems who surrendered over the shutdown, but in the interest of being constructive, I put together some thoughts on how we can move past this moment. messagebox.substack.com/p/how-democr...

Black American soldiers literally dug these WWII graves. Traumatic. To acknowledge that fact at a cemetery they helped construct is something the Heritage Foundation cannot accept. As Veterans Day approaches, never forget that this country both compels and disrespects Black military service. Always.
1/ The US Government has quietly removed a memorial to Black soldiers who died in World War II from the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, South Limburg. The move follows a complaint from the right-wing Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission. ⬇️

If @schumer.senate.gov were actively trying to make us hate him — if this were a scripted heel turn in wrestling — I’m not sure what more he would be doing.

Just an unmitigated asshole and a complete fucking failure as a “leader”
In this interview Schumer says he agrees with Trump’s decision to pull $400 million from Columbia. A university in his own state. And he’s unconcerned about the unlawful arrest of Mahmoud Khalil, one of his constituents.

He is a traitor who needs to resign.

My senator,Ron Wyden, is not attending and holding an online town hall instead!
Democrats should boycott the State of the Union. Democrats keep calling this man a unique and dangerous threat, but never ACT like it.
For once, Democrats' *actions* should match their words.

The Democrats Should Boycott Trump’s Speech to Congress This Week
Refusing to attend the speech would be the first indication that Democrats are not just playing politics—and playing them badly—but resisting.

Given that Braxton Bragg was an incompetent racist traitor who was utterly despised by his officers and soldiers, it makes sense that a bottom-scraper like Hegseth would adore him.

We often talk about how Trump ran on an explicit authoritarian platform. But this is also true of corruption: During the campaign, Trump openly promised to govern in the interests of wealthy elites, and won anyway. He'll feel emboldened to be more corrupt.
