Hi y'all! I'm a relational designer 👯 and community gardener 🌱

I saw a ChatGPT commercial the other day and was so baffled. My friend politely informed me: "not everyone knows about ChatGPT so they have a commercial."

I was incredulous.

That's how much of a tech bubble I'm in - certain everyone at least KNOWS about ChatGPT

Where did the AI “overlord” language come from? Why so imperial empire vibes?

If you really knew me, you’d know I don’t believe in “best by” dates for food 😬

it turns out, when you ask for something, specifically, more often than not you get what you want

Not like fantasy stuff but real adjacently possible, within arms reach requests

People generally want to support others

Ask and the universe provides ✨

The ultimate problem- which we keep losing sight of - is not how to create better models, it is how to create better humans.

But for so many AI projects, humans are merely training data generators.

How do we ensure that work on AI is in service of humanity and not vice versa?

Launching a new community for creative marketers this week!

And performing in an immersive theater show Thursday (a first)! It’s premised as a rebel meetup to overtake an AI overlord where humans are fighting for their right to creative and emotional expression 🫠

Busy busy!

Working on setting better time boundaries with myself - particularly around work

On a coaching call earlier we talked about the “clocking out” function for the day

Mine’s a mix of Apple Notes & Reminders—and it really does help me put the work down for the evening, weekend or vacation

Oooo yes, the shift of community to the product domain vs editorial—this is framing is spot-on

Community is a relational experience, it’s a two-way. A distinctly different way of being online (and the world) in a post-social media era

Just enrolled in my first “email course” on the topic of community engagement

I imagine this is just a series of mini teaching modules dropped through email—clever marketing
