A poem I wrote today, in response to my own creeping feelings of powerlessness.

It’s hard not to sometimes feel small beside the sheer scale of the problems we face.

But we have more power than we think we do, as individuals and as a collective.

I think a good place to start for those newly disillusioned is to begin asking more questions.
As a neurodivergent woman, the tendency to ask hard questions was admonished and condemned all throughout my life and childhood. It takes time and practice to get that muscle flexing again. 🦋

Encouraged by everyone who has been adding their voices to the fight against authoritarianism in the U.S. It is not enough to speak up online though, we’ve got to speak up to the people around us in-person too. This is no time to be afraid of uncomfortable conversations.💙
