…by which authoritarians will divide us. They point the finger at the most vulnerable, and tell us that they are our enemies. Leave them no one to demonize by fighting to include everyone.

I agree with you on so much of this, and I am open to getting behind Newsom. In no way do I think he should be cancelled or pushed out. But I do think we, as the people of this movement, must demand our leaders fight for all of our rights. When we leave people out, those people become the means…

In part, but not whole. He has vetoed bills on transgender healthcare, educational materials, and protecting the rights of trans kids.

It’s GREAT that he has passed many bills protecting LGBTQ+ rights, but I’m asking that he passes the trans rights legislation crossing his desk as well.

Prop 50 is incredible, and I’m thankful it passed. But we can, and should, use this movement to pressure politicians to fight for all of us. The message needs to be,

‘fight for everyone, especially the most vulnerable among us, or get out of the way.’
