A poem I wrote today, in response to my own creeping feelings of powerlessness.

It’s hard not to sometimes feel small beside the sheer scale of the problems we face.

But we have more power than we think we do, as individuals and as a collective.
“None of us can do everything, but we all can do something. We urge you to support groups fighting for due process or who help immigrants during this siege. News organizations also need our financial support to continue their vital reporting.”

Adelita, today you make history as the first Latina representing AZ and the 218th signature to demand the Epstein files.

Your leadership is empowering, and I’m proud to stand with you as we work to restore Congress to its true purpose and serve the American people as intended.

This is why these facilities are blocking oversight and accountability.

Because their actions are MONSTROUS.

I believe these victims.

We must stop this.
This is the facility that I and many others have been protesting. We’ve been hit, thrown, gassed, and shot with pepper bullets but none of that holds a candle to what is being done to people *in* the actual facility.

Read this thread. Don’t look away. Keep your eyes and the pressure on Broadview.
A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

I’ll keep pushing this line of analysis because I’m increasingly convinced the clearest path out of this mess is for Dems to adopt a relentless anti-corruption, anti-inequality, anti-oligarchy, pro-democracy platform. The Dem leadership hasn’t realized it yet, but they’re now a reform party.

Something, something, ‘participation trophies for these snowflake public figures.’
I am a Huge Football Supporter.
If FIFA still hold this World Cup in the USA and give Trump this Fake "Ego Stroking" Award, then I am staying at home.

I won't buy any match tickets. I won't travel to any stadiums. I won't watch this World Cup.

Sandwich Guy appears to have more decency in his fingertip than the entirety of the Trump administration.
Sean Dunn, aka DC Sandwich Guy, speaks outside court after his not guilty verdict:

“I am so happy that justice prevails in spite of everything….

“That night I believe I was protecting the rights of immigrants…

Every life matters, no matter where you came from, no matter how you got here…”

No, we don’t have to line up behind someone who isn’t fighting for trans rights.

One of the many hope-filled lessons Mamdani’s win teaches us is that NO ONE’s rights need to be sacrificed, and in fact, fighting for everyone is a winning platform.
