That’s their grandfather. Star student at Purdue. Three friends burned to death in car, he survived with 3 amputations. He became chief engineer at Sears. Invented the circular coils you have on your stove. One of the founders of the ADA.

Listen - the Tyrer family won’t fight this. It’s not who they are. Not litigious, bitter, etc. It’s how they survived trauma. It’s what draw me to tell their story. They don’t dwell. They pick themselves up.

Interesting tidbit about Moss and Owens. Ironic, too, when you read accounts of how poorly Polian treated others (numerous accounts.) They called his days “The Polian Reign of Terror.” Indianapolis Star reporter’s assessment after Polian firing in screen grab:

Well said. Food for thought: 1.) Polian, longtime exec… do we think it’s a moral decision on his part or a business decision? 2.) Secrecy is a rule in the debate but if the other rules are broken, why would they abide by that? 3.) Music HOF has lots of questionable characters & we accept that. Why?
