Proprietary battery designs are annoying. I just discovered that you can get adapters to use the same battery across different power tools, even with different voltages (they have built-in DC-to-DC converters) and different brands. Game changer!

Since it is Finland’s Independence Day today, here’s probably the most famous Finnish patriotic painting ever. My favourite too!

Because note the book the two-headed eagle is attacking. “Lex” - Law.

The rule of law.

“The Attack,” Edvard (Eetu) Isto, 1899.

Mitäs mieltä taivastelijat on? 10M€ tulo/varallisuuskattoa?

Minä kannattaisin. On tärkeämpää taata ihmisarvoisen elämän mahdollistava minimi kaikille kuin mahdollistaa ökyily harvoille.

I'm anxious about being in Hawaiʻi and I just realized why. In Honolulu, where a car is needed to get around, I often agonize about when to go out so I'm not stuck in traffic. In London or Paris, I just go because I cycle everywhere and cars on the road don't impact my travel times. #CarsRuinCities

David Graeber's Debt: The First 5000 Years (2011) is witty and eye-opening. Sounds like a simple concept, but debt is actually not 'debt' as we think of it in everyday language - especially when we take a birds-eye and look at colonialism, states, and the origin of monetary systems. What a mess!

If I’m understanding this correctly, X is owned by a white nationalist who pays poor people of color in developing countries to pretend to be working class white Americans to scare other white Americans into being afraid poor people of color from developing countries are going to ruin America?

Hits hard.
I’ve been spending time recently with mentors and mentees on the idea that what got you here won’t get you there.

At senior levels, success depends less on domain expertise and more on how you relate, influence, listen, and adapt.

Mikä on paha paha juttu vallitsevassa uusliberaalissa konsensuksessa.
