The job market continues to slow, and it's pretty dramatic. Keeping our head above water (for now).

August jobs growth was only +22k. July revised up +6k to +79k. June was revised down by -27k to -13k. Average jobs growth over the three months = +29k.

Unemployment rose a tick to 4.3%

Congress approved $4.9 billion in spending for foreign aid. The Trump White House canceled all of it.

Since February, Aid on the Hill has become a leading grassroots voice for U.S. foreign aid, all powered by volunteers.

‼️ Now we need your help. ‼️

We are fundraising to support our core operations and provide modest stipends to the former USAID staff and implementers leading this work.

It’s a dark day in U.S. foreign policy as the Trump admin completes its illegal dismantling of USAID.

The dedicated men and women of USAID have set a shining example across the globe.

As this report shows, these cuts will have deadly consequences — and Trump and Rubio are responsible.
USAID cuts could lead to 14 million deaths over the next five years, researchers say
An analysis published Monday in the medical journal The Lancet projects that cuts to the agency will lead to more deaths from diseases like AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis.
