Yeah, all those stupid creators whining about how they're not getting paid properly for work. They should just be happy for the credit.

What does Peter David have to be upset about?

Sorry, what *did* he have to be upset about?

Since- y'know- he can't be reached for comment anymore...

Remembering the fervor around Dan Slott during the heyday of his run, I remember a lot of the press around him continually saying "You can tell he's a huge Spider-Man fan and he's having the time of his life."

Yet over half a decade from his last ASM run, no one seems to talk about him.

Zdarsky & Kelly: Editorial isn't restrictive at all! It's a great environment that gives creators a lot of freedom!

Fans: Can Peter and MJ just be romantically involved with no drama?

Zdarsky & Kelly: Uh...(Immediately burst into flames.)

Incredible Marvel are relaunching the Ultimate line after just 2 years meanwhile this arc's only moved by a gnat's pubic hair in 3.

Genuinely wtf are we still here?

You given Rich thinks that people reacting to the misogynistic treatment of MJ are being unreasonable and yet equates USM Peter's relationship with little May as the equivalent of child *buse, maybe we *should* be checking out what's on his harddrive...

Kinda sounds like all those plotlines left hanging didn't interest the audience as much as those so called "boring" stories did, huh?

Welp, John Semper of the 90's animated series is Pro AI, so people might want to unpack that little detail...

I hope it turns out better than the movie.
A live-action ‘ASSASSIN'S CREED’ series has been greenlit at Netflix.

Roberto Patino (‘Westworld’) and David Wiener (‘Halo’) will serve as the showrunners.

JFC, here we go again with *this* ...

Those two decades when Peter and MJ were married had great stories and was enjoyed by fans. If that wasn't true at all, the marriage would have ended waaaayyy earlier than '08 and we know that Quesada didn't launch OMD because fans hated it.

Hey, anybody remember when Rich Johnston from Bleeding Cool did a bunch of "Parody" comics?

....

Am... am I the only one who remembers these?

"Did that already, ..." - I'm sorry, but what does that mean exactly, Brevoort? I thought you joined Marvel in 1989 as a college intern. That was two years *after* Peter and MJ's marriage in the comics.

So, has Marvel completely "lost it's marbles" by making serious reality (and history) alterations in the 616, by replacing Gwen Stacy-616 with Gwen Stacy-65 (Ghost Spider), making it look like Gwen never died in the first place, as well as resurrecting George Stacy-616?

Spider-Fans need to get the word out. If Spider-Man: Torn sells well enough, it could become an ongoing.

Because they've been using the poor "keeping Spider-Man young so even future readers can be interested" excuse in order to impose *their own preferences* about Spider-Man, while ignoring the fandom.
It's baffling how they have Miles, but insist on making Peter *young*, despite him pushing for 30.
I never understood why the people who claimed Spider-Man is about "Youth" then proceeded to hire people who wrote him with Big Divorced Guy energy.

Because it was never about "Youth."

It was about a handful of guys from a particular generation being mad that they were no longer the primary target audience in the 80's and the book didn't go in the direction they wanted, and then they made it everyone else's problem.

Stopped at a comic store on the way home from the beach. They had a box with some Kelly ASM I pulled out all of 8 deaths and 2-5 of current. I had the other books I was getting and I said are these on sale. He said and I quote "No one wants those $#-+@ books if you give me a quarter I'd take it.

Again, how is this *Peter's* fault?

How is a supervillain unweaving his costume a sign of what a loser he is?

All it shows is how ill of a fit Slott was for the book, given he seemed to have only a superficial understanding of the character and was more interested in canonizing his fan fiction.

I truly miss when Spider-Man was written as a committed and loyal partner instead of an”non-exclusive” player.

As a kid from a broken home, he was a role model to me for staying faithful to his wife through thick & thin.

Anyway, read Ultimate Spider-Man.

Either Ben is replaicing Peter, being the "Earthbound" Spidey while Peter is out there trying to go back home or we're having another "Peter splitting into two", when last time that happened was at the beginning of Spencer's ASM run.
