This is straight from the Cambridge dictionary website.
As for "what is funny", it depends on the individual, because no one has the same tastes.

And the tantrum continues ...

I think he just wanted to take a crack at writing a Spider-Man title, while not really give a damn about feedback. He (as well as Brevoort, Slott and others) calling the fandom *toxic*, while ingoring that this "toxicity" cannot come from anywhere else but from them, is just pathetic.

JFC, here we go again with *this* ...

Those two decades when Peter and MJ were married had great stories and was enjoyed by fans. If that wasn't true at all, the marriage would have ended waaaayyy earlier than '08 and we know that Quesada didn't launch OMD because fans hated it.
July 15, 2025 at 9:55 PM
"Did that already, ..." - I'm sorry, but what does that mean exactly, Brevoort? I thought you joined Marvel in 1989 as a college intern. That was two years *after* Peter and MJ's marriage in the comics.

So, has Marvel completely "lost it's marbles" by making serious reality (and history) alterations in the 616, by replacing Gwen Stacy-616 with Gwen Stacy-65 (Ghost Spider), making it look like Gwen never died in the first place, as well as resurrecting George Stacy-616?

It's like you'll get an allergic reaction if you *really* respond to fan letters, who have concerns about MJ, the Spider marriage or any negative feedback about the creative decisions towards ASM for the last 2-3 years.

Hahahhaha ... not what actually happened, but damn that was funny - reminds me of this scene from RvB

Here, he's just speculating like us, because he has no inside info about it. I understand that he has good intentions, but this can come back to bite him.

I cannot help but feel concerned when he posts stuff like these ...
April 24, 2025 at 5:13 PM
Come on Brevoort, let's be honest - you don't really care about Rogue and Gambit. You just don't want OMD to be undone, so you and your little "club" would be proven wrong, that after "all these years" of planing and executing OMD, to be colossal waste in the end.
April 14, 2025 at 2:37 PM
So Tom Brevoort is okay with the relationship between Rogue and Gambit because of "fan interest", but he's upset and b**ching when Spidey fans are *still interested in Peter and MJ's relationship and want them to get back together*?
I swear, the hypocrisy of this guy ...

"What's that, Robbie? No, I'm not freaked out at all that I'm using a symbiote who used to be a horrifying monster with Eddie Brok.
What's that, Paul? No, I don't have tramatic experience with the symbiote, scarring me for life.
What's up with you guys? You act like this shouldn't be normal at all."

Ewing better have a *good explanation* as to why they are writing MJ using the symbiote like it's no big deal or anything, given the "trauma it caused her in the past".This hatred/fear was even in recent runs, it's not just a "oh, this just happened *very long time ago* (in the 90s or something)"
April 3, 2025 at 5:46 AM
I might be wrong, but I personally doubt Brevoort would try to brag about the BND storyline getting sales now (because of "single Spider-Man"), only *after* 17-18 years since it's release and that all it took was to get in a title of a MCU Spidey movie.
Still, we're talking about Brevoort here ...

If this is how Kelly handles this filler of an arc, then it says plenty about how his upcoming run will go down. Thank goodness that there's USM at least, because by the looks of this you're just hoping the face of the franchise to get sales for ASM.
March 26, 2025 at 6:17 PM
From his latest substack ...
March 24, 2025 at 8:10 AM
Even Slott himself confirmed this ...
March 23, 2025 at 6:54 AM
Yeah, that makes more sense now, given that there are *two Spider-Men* in 616 ...
March 20, 2025 at 2:06 PM
If anything, it just confuses me because not only of the solicits, but also these "similarities" between Paul and Venom.
I still think that they're trying to throw us off, but given that the Spider and Venom offices have combined for their crossover event, I'm just confused ...

My goodness, Lowe is even using tactics like "these" ...
