It's almost a shame it didn't happen because it would've been a great story to laugh about later... "Hey, let's go see the new Bond film in Dad's memory", cut to 2 hours later and we're weeping into our popcorn seeing Q and Moneypenny eulogize Bond. Dad would've found it pretty funny.

So you see where I'm going with this... no particular attachment to Bond himself, but because of the association with our Dad... in another universe my sister and I did go to see the last Bond movie together, and probably would've cried after seeing Bond blow up at the end.

I used to watch the Bond films with Dad, so my sister offered to take me to the movie in his stead. But I declined because I'm not really a Bond fan, it was just something I did to spend time with Dad.

Strangely, the Fabio vs. Goose story came up randomly at our Halloween movie night last night. I can't really remember why, but it meant I could tell everyone about the collab between Adam Savage, The Slow Mo Guys, and Bobby Fingers as they recreate the goose hit

I made a little miniature scene for the photoshoot of this prop, using fake branches/foliage that I got from the craft store. I also made the mistake of adding glitter to the scene, which has now spread to the rest of my house.

What's great is I've made a good few of these Didymus' at this point so I have a small handful of little plush acorns I have no idea what to do with. Maybe one day one will take root and grow a little plush oak tree in my craft hoard.

I'm definitely biased but I think Didymus is a great project for folks who aren't super crafty, so I totally believe you can make one!

I make/edit videos at an absolute glacial pace, so it feels incredible to finally release this tutorial. Thanks (and apologies) to anyone who follows me for these tutorials, I wish I was faster at getting these out, but I hope the end result is at least worth the wait.
