As crazy as it sounds, these kiosk are actually, genuinely, a good idea and those who say otherwise have probably never worked a service job in their life.

And I know some folks will complain about how machines try to get you to buy more, as though there aren't entire generations where corpos forced people to repeat embarrassing lines for every customer, or anything.

Not to mention, these sorts of Kiosk are older than the internet. One of my lifelines during my time abroad in Japan was a cheap little noodle place that spat out pre-printed tickets from a machine that might have been older than me.

Ordering kiosks literally free up line cooks to work on food prep. "Fast Food Cashier" is joked about as being the worst job ever, I know people who would rather clean toilets than deal with entitled, hungry customers all day.
