Not the most important part but the DoJ spokesperson thinks “tattletale” is a verb?

I voted for Kerry in ‘04. I supported Biden in ‘08 when he was polling in the single digits & but he dropped out before my state’s primary. I wanted him to run in ‘16, voted for him in ‘20, and voted Harris this year. Biden went back on his word. Trying to make it about me won’t change that.

Biden knew that when he said he would abide by the jury’s decision and not pardon his own son. The problem isn’t just that Republicans are calling him a liar. The problem is that they’re right. www.politico.com/news/2024/12...
Republicans say Biden is a 'liar' after he pardons Hunter, his son
The president's decision to absolve his son lit a firestorm among Republicans — and some Democrats.

Joe said, “I abide by the jury decision. I will do that and I will not pardon him.” We applauded him for selflessly adhering to the rule of law, noting how different it was from the Trump days. He then went back on his word. Do you not see cause for criticism?

Not we. Biden himself said “I abide by the jury decision. I will do that and I will not pardon him.” The criticism should be that he did this after accepting praise for vowing not to do it.

You always hoped Joe would go back on his word to benefit a family member while sending a message that he doesn’t actually stand by why he said about the rule of law? Why?

Beyond his integrity and values?

How about Democrats who believed Biden wouldn’t break his word and do this?

Saying you're not going to use the extraordinary powers of the presidency to pardon your own son out of respect for the rule of law but then pardoning him at the end of your presidency does not make you the best proponent of the rule of law.

It’s about defending the rule of law right before the worst actors take control of the federal government. Biden was clear that he wouldn’t interfere in the prosecution of his son. It was admirable and many believed him. I did too.

Deranged New Playground is my new band name. bsky.app/profile/dber...
Daily Caller says that BlueSky “has already devolved into a deranged playground for the terminally online, the kind of liberals who might actually be insane. The kind who identify as autistic, transgender, polyamorous allies to pedophiles.”
