Spent the weekend with an amazing view, and knitting, of course. I am about 1/3 into the many inches of moss stitch body, so there’s no going back. Probably going to be off textured knits for a while after this one! 🧶

I’ve probably spent more time since January talking over the phone to actual people than I have in the previous five years. I hate it but we cannot let up. Only just now did Kaine finally commit to being a firm no on cloture. Calls work!
Virginians: please call Tim Kaine ASAP. He says this morning he's willing to give up his only leverage by voting for cloture if he also gets a vote on a clean funding bill that Republicans will obviously kill.

I didn’t get to march today but instead went out and spent my money at local businesses that share my values. Been thinking a lot lately about how to divest from billionaires and corporations and build strong local economies to counter autocracy. Some of the things we do -

If I finish this stranded cardigan I began during covid lockdowns and have knit a few rounds of every year since, will it end this nightmare? Maybe the other side is waiting just beyond a bound off yoke? I should probably pick it up and see what happens …
