No luck with the tape; I think the plastic insert is needed to push the connectors on firmly enough. I'll keep looking, though I suspect this is a sign that I ought to make use of current sales to get a newer machine...

Thanks - that's getting close to what I need; presumably I could obtain the whole connector and only use the insert. I'm not sure what they mean by pitch in this case, though.

BTW, tried www.ccw.org.uk/save-money-a... and it suggests our metered bill would be slightly less than the current charge, making the price hike look even worse.

They could put the meter outside my house, but the neighbour's house is connected to my supply and so the meter would record us both. They won't fit one internally as they claim it's too difficult to access and say it's up to me to spend ££££s to remove kitchen units to make their life easier.

...and in any case, the only Bond films I'd be keen to watch these days would be ones set in the original era of the novels and matching them as closely as possible.

Don't bother with mobile development; it's too much of a hassle to use corporate stores and the ability to install FOSS apps on Android will eventually be impeded.
