My favourite watch is working once again, with my favourite watch face. I'm not quite ready to switch away from a Pixel watch (running is one important reason) but I hope to do so once I've received my new Pebble.

The local museum has a couple of photos of a street party on the 15th Aug. 1945 for #VJDay
It just so happens that I was able to get to the same spot today.
The same houses, to the photographer's right, on the 15th of Aug. 2025. One, on the right, has been replaced with a more modern stone building but the others remain much the same other than such things as new doors, windows, and satellite dishes. The street is now empty. Now that the photo is in colour the houses can be seen to be made of yellow stone and have pale green doors (a popular colour in this area). The same houses, to the photographer's left on the 15th of Aug. 2025. The houses remain much the same other than such things as new doors, windows, and satellite dishes.
