— appear to have been collected in Hawaii in 2018. That means they crossed the Pacific Ocean from Japan to Hawaii between 2011 and 2018. It really makes us feel the immense power of nature.

These Japanese plastic “debris” — fishing gear that are believed not to have been discarded as trash, but to have been swept into the ocean by tsunami waves over 10 meters high
