I find it devastating as a Canadian of advanced age to see my neighbour going down the fascist road, but worse knowing that a significant percentage of Americans are capable of and enjoy the worst kind of cruelty.

That treasonous scum doesn’t think that treaties and laws apply to her, but #FAFO. But First Nations have reminded her, AND PM Carney, that Alberta sits on treaty lands. Treaties that were signed before Alberta even existed, and that those treaties are still very much in force.

It’s as if Trump’s cabinet picks were made to select for individuals who lack integrity, people more likely to behave abhorrently and further erode trust in the executive branch. Trump isn’t a details guy, he didn’t make his cabinet picks himself. He was influenced by people who did the work.

Consider the U S cabinet: it is as if they were chosen for lack of integrity. It’s not that they will be able to rise to the occasion. That requires a moral centre and integrity. There isn’t one who has demonstrated integrity. Proclaiming religiosity doesn’t correlate with having a moral centre.
