New York. About Melia Melia is a sensitive 3-year-old female dog who arrived at the shelter in October 2022 after being found abandoned in an empty apartment. Despite being briefly reclaimed and fostered, she has been returned to the shelter multiple times and has spent over 800 days there as of late 2025. Personality: Melia has a gentle spirit and thrives outside the stressful kennel environment, enjoying peaceful walks and quiet companionship with people she trusts.
