The amazing thing about building with coding agents, both sync and async, is that I can still be building while almost anywhere. On the train, sitting in a park, in the bath, or otherwise away from my laptop, just using the app/web interfaces on my phone. Great time for ideating on side projects

Finally finished season 2 of The Rehearsal, and I gotta say, I am continually impressed by how far Nathan Fielder will go for a bit. His diagnosis of why planes actually crash gets at a core tenet of how humans (mis)communicate

How is this not the law already??
Fox News host Will Cain: "The 'No Secret Police Act' would ban local, state, and federal law enforcement from covering their faces when interacting with the public. Officers would also have to wear identifying information on them, like name tags. Hard to believe this is real!"

40 Years ago Carl Sagan knew about Climate change and he was so aware of it's impact on Nature more than us we do right now.

Golden!
Worst two-day stock market crashes in the U.S. by percentage loss:

1. 1929 (the Great Depression)

2. 1987 (Black Monday)

3. 2008 (the Great Recession)

4. YESTERDAY AND TODAY

And while this happened, the man responsible for it was golfing and dining with enemies of America.

Sadly I’m related to several of these
On the one hand, decades of libertarians warning about how concentrating power in the state would make the state much more dangerous if it was taken over by an authoritarian look pretty wise right now. On the other hand, lots of those same libertarians are now cheerleading for that authoritarian.

At the divey pizza place slash gay bar near me and the GOLDENEYE theme just came on (which is now 30 years old) what a simpler time when all we had to fear was oddjob’s hat

Look, this is fine and all, but there are about a million more urgent and dangerous issues to address right now. READ THE ROOM or just retire already
We must protect our nation’s wild places & continue the preservation of our national heritage.

Today, I introduced the America’s Red Rock Wilderness Act to protect more than 8 million acres of land in Utah & preserve their natural conditions—ensuring generations of Americans can enjoy them.

This is WHY we have due process as a fundamental constitutional right in this country
NEW! The Trump administration appears to have sent a married father with NO CRIMINAL RECORD in any country to rot in a prison in El Salvador because of a PAPERWORK ERROR.

This man doesn’t even have tattoos! But his paperwork has two different peoples’ ID numbers listed and the wrong last name!

What a terrible old fossil. He needs to go be for he sells us out any more. This is a gift to giant corporations, and a direct assault on a free and open internet
For too long, Big Tech’s dangers couldn’t break the stranglehold it had on Congress.

Things are beginning to change.

We have to regulate social media companies, and I said as much to the brave survivors and advocates I met with today.

Dozens more pregnant and postpartum women have died in Texas hospitals since the state banned abortion, our analysis shows.

As the maternal mortality rate dropped nationally, it rose in Texas by 33%.
Texas Banned Abortion. Then Sepsis Rates Soared.
ProPublica’s first-of-its-kind analysis is the most detailed look yet into a rise in life-threatening complications for women experiencing pregnancy loss under Texas’ abortion ban.

I helped build a government AI system. DOGE fired me, rolled the AI out to the whole agency, and implied the AI can do my job and the jobs of the others they've fired.

It can't. But, what DOGE accidentally revealed about themselves in the process is fascinating. 🧵

Disgusting. Billionaire playbook for buying gov’t:
- pay ppl $100 to sign a petition
- harvest personal data
- relentlessly target for GOTV
- candidate wins, owes you bigly

This is how the richest man on earth bought Trump, and why he’s given free rein to destroy our gov’t.
This isn’t legal, Elon.

Musk steps up calls to impeach judges, offering $100 to voters who join in. America PAC is paying registered Wisconsin voters to sign its petition against “activist judges.” Talk about paid protesters. Now, judges are receiving violent threats online.
