Booker: "We have a president who did nothing as people stormed our Capitol, & then when those people who viciously beat police & led to some of their deaths - therefore cop killers - were convicted, he pardoned them. So for him to be talking about responsive law enforcement is hypocritical at best"

This country is becoming unrecognizable. What we’re seeing is state-funded fear. We’ve warned people: keep filming, go live on social media so these moments are documented and shared. This wasn’t a case involving masked ICE agents—but that’s happening too.

Bless Cory Booker for staying up all night to speak out against these evil morons. This is the kind of fight that we are all looking for.

Good morning. We’ve learned that RIF notices went out by branch overnight—timed for maximum cruelty. We’ll share info and resources throughout the day.

To those affected: We’re so sorry. This is a deep personal loss and a loss for everyone you keep safe and healthy through your work. 💚

A big part of the problem is stupid people have been convinced by rich people that AI is God, when AI is closer to an automatic dog food dispenser.

I fear they’re coming for ALL school vaccine mandates next. Including measles, mumps and rubella.

This mandate is for Covid 19. There were currently no states/US territories requiring the vaccine with the exception of Guam. Nonetheless, this act sets a bad precedent for other state required vaccines. Republicans were the party wanting less federal interference. Oh, the sad irony.

The AP must refuse this but more importantly the rest of the White House Correspondents Association should back them.

Boycott the press briefings until they relent, and if they refuse, walk out. There is no real use to them in any case.

Trump craves attention. Deny him that and he’ll cave.
"Today we were informed by the White House that if AP did not align its editorial standards with President Donald Trump’s executive order renaming the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America, AP would be barred from accessing an event in the Oval Office."

Woke up to the new GbV album today, and reminiscing about “new album Tuesdays”

Visceral memories of rushing to the Strawberry’s after school to grab my very own copy of whatever was new that week. Getting a new record in the mail on a random day is *almost* as exciting, but just not quite the same.

Elon Musk’s staffers have gained unauthorized access to sensitive government employee data by installing a server at the OPM. They now have access to USAJOBS, the federal hiring portal where applicants submit personal details such as Social Security numbers, home addresses, and employment histories.

USAID.gov is down. Why is this concerning? Trump has no legal authority to eliminate a congressionally funded independent agency. The work of USAID is vital, and if this can happen to them, it can happen to any of us.
