#Watched The Hot Rock (1972) - Read this last year and it didn’t grab me like Westlake usually does. Wasn’t feeling Dortmunder as a character. Well, that’s ‘cause in the book he’s not played by Robert Redford, who takes this shaggy heist tale and imbues it with effortless charm and panache. RIP king

Pleasant solo evening in the city. Saw Howl Owl Howl (my friend group does not share my wonderment at the Rucker/Mills partnership) and then checked out Lucinda’s for the first time. It’s the old Brownies/HiFi/several other things space. Caught an open jam that was actually good.

A lot of people have ideas on how to keep your weed fresh but I stopped caring about that in college when we found 30 y/o weed just loose in the sleeve of a Neil Young record from Goodwill and it got us insanely high
