Pro-life messages and rebuttals, ideas on morality, and thoughts on Bluesky
Pinned
It's like The Truman Show here: the Bluesky is basically painted on.

Real freedom is beyond the wall.
Being a mother isn't a job. There's no comparison between motherhood and the working world. A good mother places great expectations on herself because she cares for and loves the child more than anything else. Society doesn't expect anything of a mother that she doesn't already expect of herself.
‘Labour of Love’ installation, 2022, a visual depiction of the 650 times artist Sarah Maple fed her baby over three months to highlight the sheer volume of work that is expected of mothers and to challenge people to rethink the value of the time spent #WomensArt

Abortion kills over 1 million children per year in the USA and there is not a single anti-abortion law that denies women lifesaving care.

Pro-life laws are not killing women. Pro-choice laws are killing the next generation of Americans.
The idea of running anti-abortion Democrats is sickening to me. That means killing women! That is what that means!

Broadcasters have to abide by certain regulations and codes of conduct. Lying about the political affiliation of a murderer breaks those codes. It appears that what many people want is a falsehood free-for-all where anyone can make up stories to bend public opinion.
Free speech?
Really?
It cost Jimmy Kimmel his job.

Hell is empty and all the devils are here...on Bluesky. Minimising and celebrating death. The real Charlie Kirk is nothing like the one they've constructed in their fevered unsympathetic minds. I've never once THOUGHT that someone's death was good, let alone declared it publicly. Broken.

People on Bluesky find it difficult to understand that taking race into account for hiring and admissions (otherwise known as DEI) is racist.

Instead they think being AGAINST racially motivated hiring and admissions is racist.

In each European election from now on, should only the party that is most against Putin be allowed to win? That appears to be the logic.

If you strip away all the politics, all the crass talk and virtue signalling, we should agree that competence must be the only criterion for hiring.

DEI may not be at fault for the plane crash but DEI certainly makes crashes like this more likely. And now is precisely the time to talk about it.

Children can, though rarely, get born following/during a failed abortion.

There have been cases where born children have been allowed to die (denied medical support) or deliberately murdered (suffocated, injected etc.).

That is what is referred to colloquially as an 'after birth abortion'.
You shouldn’t believe it because it’s literally a figment of his imagination.

The abortion pill kills your child. Pass it on.
The abortion pill is safe and effective. Pass it on.

There is no evidence anti-abortion policies are racist. Given that black people have proportionally far more abortions means abortion bans would increase the proportion of citizens who are black. Why would a racist do that?

Modern-day abortion is rooted in eugenics, and still practises eugenics.
For @coolzonemedia.bsky.social, historian Dr. Michael Phillips and I explored the often-surprising history of abortion in the United States; the connections between anti-abortion politics, racism, and xenophobia; and how that all ties back to Texas.

Obviously the Bible deems abortion wrong. Doing Ctrl+F and 'abortion' is not enough:

'...the baby in my womb leaped for joy'

'Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a son'

'Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; before you were born, I sanctified you'

'Thou shalt not kill'
Your yearly reminder about this.

Abortion is actual violence
Anti-abortion laws are forms of political violence.

Dumping your baby in a dumpster is bad. Aborting your baby is bad.

These are pretty simple moral positions to understand and yet our first-world civilisation somehow still struggles with this.

‘Baby in a dumpster.’ A spate of abandoned newborns unsettles Texas.
Critics say these cases are no coincidence in a state with one of the nation’s most restrictive abortion bans and near-bottom rankings on women’s health care.

Many abortions are by women who are poor and have little support or hope. The real tragedy is the number of women who feel no option but to abort the child they would really love to keep.

Abortion is worse than murder because it is killing someone who you should care for most.

I think some likes I get are from people who assume I agree with them (because Bluesky is the agreement app) and misread.

No, it most certainly isn't.
Abortion is basic health care.
