Reddit really let me down on this one. So far nothing helpful in crowdsourcing who the artist is.

The Miami Herald is doing remarkable public service journalism on deported Venezuelans and the crimes being committed against them. Almost like news institutions that are located in and around the communities they serve end up being accountable for serving those communities

Also, mobile web has limited display. They're probably trying to figure out how to juggle them as we type. There's tariff stuff happening as well. NYT is probably one of the few news outlets where people regularly consume news as a package. Most get headlines on social/search: fragmented, dispersed

Wapo is playing them the way you suggest. WSJ found a way to get them both above fold. Seems right.

Also also.. an even more effective use of time would be lobbying for legislation that will curtail ‘too big to fail’ institutions
Also if you really feel passionate about this issue then focus on whats in the criminal code now for the next financial crisis that catches a lot of crooks with their pants down. Otherwise it’s all performative.
The U.S. pursued the fraud cases that were winnable and have levied a lot of fines. Most of the truly egregious behavior in 07-08 wasn’t illegal.

On our way
I think the stock market recovers most of its losses by year end. Tariffs will be reversed haphazardly in the same way this dumb thing was rolled out. In the end it will be a minor net negative on growth all for absolutely no gain. Incredibly dumb

Roto rooter wanted 790 dollars to snake out a kitchen sink drain. Absurdly offensive imo. Anyone have thoughts? I know it’s not the vent or main line bc my bathroom connected to same drain isn’t backed up. It’s somewhere in 12ft between sink and main drain.

this is straightforwardly concentration camp stuff.

just in very plain terms: we send people to camps now if we, the government, deem it necessary, without due process. you can file a habeas petition in the united states district court with jurisdiction over el salvador, i guess.

Instead of hyping Miami vs Chicago game which I get, the @chicagofirefc.bsky.social should be doing more base level soccer ads. Use that signage to tell ppl how cheap season tix are and that fire are decent this yr. Anyone who cares about seeing messi already knows about game and has tix

*president crashes the stock market*

Hassett: oh so it’s illegal for guys to have hobbies now?
STEPHANOPOULOS: The president retweeted a post that said the market drop was part of a deliberate strategy. Is that the president's strategy?

HASSETT: Heh ha. The bottom line is the president has been talking about tariffs for 40 years. He's allowed to have an opinion.

S: So that is his strategy.

Under a Rony mayoral admin we would introduce the Lakefront Water Taxi.

All local stops: Kathy Osterman Beach, Montrose, Belmont Harbor, North Ave Beach, DuSable Harbor, Northerly Island, McCormick, 31st Street, Oakwood Beach, Promontory Point, 63rd Street, South Shore Beach, and Rainbow Beach.
The Chicago Water Taxi garnered over 90% of 2019 ridership in last year's return to full service.

If the government’s position is that being trafficked to El Salvador by Donald Trump and Stephen Miller amounts to a final and irreversible deprivation of all rights, then it seems to me every federal court has a duty to permanently enjoin the practice as soon as it possibly can.
