After almost 50 years Leonard Peltier gets to be “free”. This commutation is not justice. It’s an old white man playing with peoples lives. He’s retiring his game pieces as the game no longer sees him as a player.
A game where anyone who is not a cis white man is a token.

These United States are beautiful and I want to see them all. The last couple years I’ve begun the year with mini solo road trips to meditate and reset. This year I’m wrestling with fear and nagging doubts - of if it’s safe for someone who looks like me to drive so close to the southern border. 💔

Today was an excellent day. Cleaned the house while listening to @nnedi.bsky.social’s Akata Warrior while I tried to motivate the plantains on my counter to hurry up and ripen (these I had bought earlier this week while I was listening to Akata Witch and now impatiently needing to eat them).

I thought I’d be rocking grandpa chic in my 40’s as a queer, non-binary, butch-leaning weirdo but lately it’s been fancy lady-lad, Baggy-feels-like-naked- all paired with protest shirts.
