ICE are thugs and need to be removed from our streets! It's one thing to enforce the law (which the agency doesn't even do to begin with), but it's another to instill fear, harm individuals, and murder.

Congress needs to step up and act in whatever measurable way possible.

Would love for more Pittsburgh politicians to stand on business and speak out against the atrocities that occur on the national level.

This stuff trickles down into our local communities and psyche, and it is imperative that we radiate strength and solidarity, not silence.

Keep the Ghost Lights On: Harold’s Haunt Launches GoFundMe to Stay Open
Millvale’s beloved haunted they-bar, Harold’s Haunt, is calling on the queer community and our rich aunties, bosses, and neighbors to help them survive the financial graveyard that has swallowed too many radical third spaces. They’ve just launched a GoFundMe campaign with the ambitious but necessary goal of raising $30,000 to keep their doors open, the heat on, and the wolves of capitalism at bay.

Removing bus stops from the Waterfront disregards the needs of thousands of riders who depend on this lifeline every single week.

My team and I will continue to work with all stakeholders to find a solution and get these stops restored.

It's imperative that we have a County Council that seeks to build coalitions with community and work hand-in-hand with the City to deliver on goods and services. Here's hoping that the next councilor of my district is committed to that work and desires to usher the region into an era of new growth!

Bonaroti is a first term Democrat representing District 13, which covers parts of Pittsburgh and Bellevue next door. His departure comes just over a year into his four-year term.

The Trump Administration is a disgrace to this nation and to Democracy all across the world.

They must be stopped, but it will take an active effort on all our parts to do it.

Run for office. Support candidates who actually care about your needs. And speak up against hatred and ignorance.

It is imperative that transit gets more funding not only across America, but especially here in PA.

We must create new and innovative avenues of funding that will strengthen our state and empower agencies to redesign and grow their systems.

And ultimately, we need legislators who believe in this!

Reliable, affordable, and sustainable transit choices are key to fostering (and restoring) vibrant, diverse communities.

Having a governor and a state legislature that understand that simple fact can mean the world for hard working folks everywhere, and I'm glad to say that ours in PA get it!
The governor is talking about transit right now, and he gets it. $300M for buses, trains, and paratransit means more Pennsylvanians can get to work, school, and essential services.

Reliable transit isn’t a luxury, it’s a lifeline. Investing in it means investing in people.

Black history is American history. We weave the fabric of this nation. We are the strength and resilience of this nation. We are the love and hope of this nation.

Our history will not be forgotten, and as we have always done, we will fight like hell to ensure that is so.

We must do everything in our power to protect the most vulnerable and fight against the most corrupt.

Trump and his administration has proven time and time again that they are not here for the American people. They do not care. They never will. And we will suffer if we do not fight back.
