I am a trans-woman and chartered mechanical engineer who works for a major defence contractor in the UK.

After 2 decades of not being active in the community, I am now very active in the fight for trans rights. 🖕 to the UKSC and the EHRC.

This vision of the Tory Party no-longer exists. It barely exists in the Labour Party. Where is the case for 'profit for a purpose'? Where is the implacable opposition to inequality in the two old parties? It will be the task of the 'minor parties' in the years ahead to reassemble this perspective.
In 1962 I was a Conservative. I believed privilege could only be justified by service, high taxes on very high incomes were necessary to prevent an entrepreneurial economy becoming a rentier economy, and Keynesian growth would finance public service improvements and a welfare state that steadily reduced inequality. I was suspicious of ideologically driven, large-scale change. These were the mainstream policies of the Macmillan government at the time. The 2004 GRA brought in the GRC, a legal document that changes a person's "acquired gender" for ALL PURPOSES… To remove us from the unacceplable “Intermediate state” as stated in 2002 Goodwin vs UK.

But now according to the BBC we are just “biological males, who identify as a women”.

William, the Prince of Wales is patron of the Footballl Accociation, which has banned trans women from playing at even amateur and grassroots level.

The rush to ban puberty blockers for trans kids is so that having gone through an inappropriate puberty, they look “trans” for the rest of their lives. So they are easily identifiable.

Can’t think why a trans person wouldn’t come forward to the British Transport Police and report that they’d been assaulted.

A police force has announced that male officers will begin performing searches of trans women following Wednesday's Supreme Court ruling on the definition of sex. The British Transport Police (BTP) says it has adopted a new "interim position" which will mean trans people held in custody will be searched by an officer in line with their birth sex.
