For New Yorkers who work the night shift, it can be nearly impossible to participate in political life of our city.

So tonight we’re bringing this campaign to them — starting with taxi drivers waiting at LaGuardia.

This is frankly disqualifying—Janet Mills is running to represent a blue state.

Making it even worse, she says she wants to keep the filibuster so she can have a say in judicial appointments, but it was eliminated for those a decade ago!
Janet Mills would support keeping filibuster if elected to the Senate
The Democratic governor’s stance is shared by Sen. Susan Collins, the Republican whom Mills entered the race to defeat earlier this week.

Nice job by our statewide and downballot Dems for running as a team with joint mailers promoting the ticket. Great example from what we’re getting in our mailboxes in Manassas Park, #Virginia. #vagov #valeg

Every door, every phone call, and every dollar will make a difference in this election — and I’m so grateful for the support.

I wrote about the idea that Democrats need to excise "activist" language from their vocabulary, and what it says about the corporate interests looking to divide and conquer the party.

Red states can't function without your economies.

They clearly want to F around.

A useful WaPo map of where Trump Storm Troops are actually operating in DC.

If you know DC, what this map tell you is: They're making the gaudy show of strength in areas where it matters least and will do least good. Except for sheer spectacle.

Whitewashing this report doesn't change the facts — it just further tarnishes our credibility.

I remember when Secretary Rubio would shed light on human rights abuses around the world. Now he sugarcoats them to fit his boss's political narratives.

What a disgrace.
Trump administration rewrites and scales back annual human rights report
The report reduces criticism of some US allies like Israel, and escalates disapproval of perceived foes such as Brazil.

What we see is a whole vast media apparatus, a machine, that runs on this ginned-up bullshit. Right-wing outlets coordinate to drive it into the media cycle & then reactionary conservative outlets like the Free Press or Bill f'ing Maher's show take the baton, running with it.

$678M raised through those spam tactics

$282M to one consulting firm: Mothership Strategies.

$11M to actual campaigns (1.6%)

The party isn’t just treating donors like marks—it’s being fleeced itself yet continues to back Mothership.

It seems like every rank-and-file liberal is livid about this corrupt system, but so far I haven't seen any Democratic elected officials go after it.

It'd be pretty powerful if Democrats in Congress started a crusade to clean house on this. The whole rotten thing could crumble.

Seems bad:

"We identified more than 30,000 tire wear particles in 24 liters of stormwater runoff from roads and parking lots after two rainstorms. In heavy traffic areas, we believe the concentrations could be much higher."
One of the biggest microplastic pollution sources isn’t straws or grocery bags – it’s your tires
Rain storms wash those tire shards into streams and ultimately into lakes and oceans. That’s bad news for fish and other aquatic life.
