for years i avoided transitioning bc i told myself i'd rather be a good man than a bad woman. it turns out i was an anxious, repressed, dissociated, miserable man, and sublingual estrogen almost-singlehandedly resolved many of my deepest-set anxieties

My parents didn't "accept" me (and did far worse) and now I'm without family on holidays for the rest of my life.
I love my found family, but they're scattered across the country and they can't fill that void.
