the buried lede here is that they made tools to do recompilations of Xbox 360 games for this similar to the N64 recompiler, seems this opens the door for other PC ports of Xbox 360 games too

In a just world, Hit Man would arrive in theatres, start off soft, slowly drop off over time thanks to positive word of mouth until it finished at about $150 million globally. Home video would add another $100 million on top of that. This is the revenue streaming killed off, people.
