Spotify used to do alright at presenting similar artists and music to whatever music you just selected, but I've noticed it now reverts back to artists you have a history of listening to. I don't know when that changed, but it definitely let me explore better. Even the genres now are more restricted

This is the guy who thought that the lead guy in Blade Runner was named Blade Runner while promoting his cyber truck.
And totally misinterpreted his supposedly favourite book, Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy

also, there are plenty of text to speech tools that just record and don't analyze and they've existed for nearly my entire life. we've got to stop allowing people to conflate direct, non-generative tools with genAI when they have a financial incentive to do so

we should not be letting any company get away with blaming AI for their failures. I'm not even sure how we got to this point. people are like "it's just a tool" okay so is a forklift and we still hold somebody responsible when it goes wrong and hurts someone. this is YOUR AI!

It's only performative reading when it looks like this
two men are squatting down in a living room while one of them is holding a book .

I paid $40 online for a pair of denim shorts, on special down from $90, and they tore in a weird spot (not even a seam) on the second time I wore them after having them only a month 😞 was so pissed off at that, it then cost $30 to get it repaired

Or black or navy.
My favourite clothing shop ever which I was devastated to see close down years ago and where I got most of my long lasting stuff, wasn't specifically a plus size store, it just provided the same styles and colours of clothes in a range of sizes. And fashionable enough for my 20s

This was a time when even children were doing what work they could for a bit of money, women definitely were. You couldn't just wait for hubby to send some money home. but work like laundry and mending isn't as impressive to photograph as a bunch of guys sitting on a steel girder in the sky

The people who hearken back to the depression era of manly men building big structures don't take into account that this was a big itinerant workforce, and that back at home the women were still doing whatever work they could to scrape together a bit of money to keep the household afloat

Doesn't help that most of the physical clothing stores that catered to bigger sizes were owned by a single company that went into liquidation in my country so now I have to take more risk on cheap stuff online that I can't try on

Clothes quality is getting noticeably worse. I'm plus size and I've got some clothes that I would have bought 10-15 years ago that are still good enough to wear now. It wasn't even top quality or particularly expensive at the time. But now even things like new denim are wearing through too quickly.

So you might have to keep working into your 70s and 80s, possibly longer, to keep paying it off

Does this idiot think there are no germs on his phone? The phone he probably scrolls through while sitting on the crapper? How is the fob more bulky than a phone? I know I'm a victim of women's pockets, but my car fob and house keys fit into pockets that my phone won't

Besides, when I'm carrying bags of shopping or something bulky it's easier to press a single button on the fob hooked on my fingers than to get out my phone, unlock my phone, go to the app, do whatever I need to do in the app...

Trouble with tying too much stuff up in a single device, if you lose that device or it breaks or battery is flat, you've lost your transport, method of contacting people for help, and payment method, possibly even your form of ID. You are more screwed.

Are they required to keep smiling when the customer starts telling them how awful their day has been or is upset, or are they allowed to change to an approved expression of sympathy
