A thing I’ve started saying to kick off every media interview: “The question is not ‘will they do mass deportation y/n.’ It’s not a defined term and it’s not a binary. The question is: how far can they go, and how far will they go?”
Attended an event today that highlighted the massive disconnect between federal policy people on the right who think mass deportation won’t happen and the state folks who are banking on it.

In either case, there is going to be a part of the right coalition is in for a very rude awakening.

This is also true in other wealthy countries. What is different is that US life expectancy, even for those with higher education, is shorter than in peer countries. We're all being hurt by massive inequality, a dysfunctional health care system, and a miserly welfare state.
